Grace Church in Powell, Ohio is looking for an energetic, engaging, leader to be our Pastor of Student Ministries. We are a church of 1,000 people with a student ministry of approximately 180 students in our middle school and high school ministries combined. This person will come along side the student ministry team made up of elders, deacons, and key leaders who are involved in Student Ministry. Values: Worship, Grow, Serve, Outreach HSM – High School Ministry – hsmpowell.com THE ZONE – Middle School Ministry - thezone68.com QUALIFICATIONS • A heart for students, parents, and families • Experience as a leader with a track record of shepherding, mentoring, and training leaders. • Experience in recruiting volunteers in all areas of student ministries • Proficiency in preaching/teaching/public speaking • At least 3 years experience • Desires to become Elder qualified, according to I Timothy 3 • Vision and long-term planning skills • Excel as a team player with strong administrative and interpersonal skills RESPONSIBILITIES • Work with the Student Ministry Team to cast vision and structure all ministry events and programs to achieve the vision of the church and the four core values. • Lead and equip the current 40 adult leaders and students leaders on the front lines of ministry. • Teaching, music, multimedia, volunteers, and overall programming of Wednesday night high school worship service and two Sunday morning middle school worship services. • Recruiting leaders, providing curriculum, and funneling students into (presently) seven high school grace (small) groups that happen through the week in homes, and six middle school groups that happen at the church on Wednesday nights. • Responsible for periodic service and outreach events/opportunities. • Responsible for communicating and training parents and providing family interaction. • Responsible for all communication (videos, website, facebook, twitter) for both ministries. • This position will be provided a part time administrative assistant and interns to work with. • This position reports to the Family Pastor. Senior Pastor
The family at Brookville Grace Brethren Church is seeking a new shepherd as God leads. The church is located in Brookville, OH (a suburb of Dayton, OH), and has a current membership of 100 and an average attendance of 95. BGBC is a member of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches and conducts a weekly blended worship service. The church enjoys an active youth ministry, an active children’s ministry (including AWANA, VBS, and children’s church), and men’s and women’s Bible studies. BGBC also operates a food pantry for the community called “Shepherd’s Hands,” which is open the second and fourth Thursday of every month and serves approximately 35 families per month. We are a congregationally governed church with an Elder Board. We also conduct a weekly Sunday School ministry for all ages as well as a bi-annual three-fold communion service. The candidate needs to have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a Christian college, seminary is preferred. Previous vocational ministry experience is required. The Grace Brethren Church of Dallas Center, Iowa is accepting applications for the position of Pastor. The Pastor is the only paid Elder in our church and will be expected to take a leadership role in the Spiritual ministries of the Dallas Center Grace Brethren Church. Our church has an average attendance of 38 and a membership role of approximately 65. We do have Sunday School for toddlers through adults and we run “Children’s Church” concurrent with the worship service for our 4 year old through 6th grade youngsters. We are governed by a board of Elders, which currently has three members, one a licensed pastor in the Iowa Midlands District of the FGBC. Because of our size and the current state of the economy, the successful candidate may well be expected to be bi-vocational with pay commensurate with experience and in agreement with the Board. Dallas Center is located about 22 miles northwest of Des Moines, Iowa and is made up of a cross section of rural and urban citizenry. Our community is 1600 strong and growing. We have some mild industry but are best known as the home of Hy-Line Chicken research and production. We also host a sizable presence from the Pioneer Seed research and development. Grace Brethren Church in Taos, NM is seeking a head pastor to lead our congregation. Grace Brethren Church is located below the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Northern New Mexico. It is nestled within the Art Colony of the Southwest & home to two famous pueblos; Taos Pueblo & Picuris Pueblo. Taos County is a diverse tri-cultural community of approximately 48,000 people; Hispanic, Anglo, and Native American folks who depend on a Tourist economy. The climate is moderate, ranging from the low -5 degrees in the winter and highs of 98 degrees in the summer. Taos is surrounded by beautiful mountains and valleys & rivers; truly God’s creation. Grace Brethren opened its doors to the Taos community eighty-three years ago. Grace Brethren Home Missions was instrumental in helping us get started Grace Brethren opened its doors to Kindergarten 40 years ago, and then in 1978, expanded it to include K-12., in 1982 we built a beautiful gymnasium for our church & school. Throughout the years we have seen our church and school grow. We always trust the Lord to meet our needs. In March of 2011, our Pastor resigned to follow his career as an educator, and we are once again seeking the Lord’s guidance for a Pastor who is willing to minister to our congregation, community and oversee our school.
